my name's Charlotte and I'm on the second year of a BA Social Work program one of the really good parts of the course is that we work very closely with community partners and service users so we get a really broad understanding of what you know what they wants how they like things to be worked and what they expect from us as social workers we often get guest speakers that come in and talk to us about various specific work this is fantastic because it actually gives us a really good understanding of specific areas of working and different perspectives within Social Work one of the aspects of the course is working on placement in placement settings and during this time we are supported through our learning from practice educators and our tutors and were able to link the theoretical knowledge that we've learnt at the University and related to practice experience with service users so she work is more than just a personal goal it's about the social change and about the difference that you can make not just to a few individuals but to society itself
