New Worker – Traverse in Action

I’m new and I am getting cases that are transferred
from another ongoing worker so the case has been open for a year and there has been so
much stuff that has happened. So while I am being filled in on a lot of
current things there is stuff that I never even knew about. So When I can go and search 7 months ago,
I can see what did happen 7 months ago, what were these people like and I can see look
how much they have changed. I like that I am able to ask Traverse and
sit and see whats going on or what happened before I got involved. I feel like a lot of my time is spent trying
to understand the case. So I feel like I am wasting a lot of time
when I could be doing actual interactions with the family or providing services for
the family of some sort. I can search for very specific things instead
of trying to figure it out on my own. That way I can spend more time with the family,
more time doing things that need done. Some of the trauma some of our families’
experience, I don’t want to have to relive that every single second of every single day. Or when we go to someplace and they are saying
something, it shouldn’t be a surprise to me. So instead of trying to get information that
they probably don’t want to disclose again, they have already had to disclose it once,
I can just know and move forward with them from there.
