Hi, everyone. My name is Maria Andrade. I’m the charity coordinator from Delta Bingo Brampton. Although I don’t belong to a charity we do have 30 charities at the hall. The money that we raise here at Delta Bingo goes towards paying for facilities within the city of Brampton whether that be the indoor soccer facility or outdoor soccer fields We normally would raise anywhere between $35,000 – $40,000 a year Which we give out every year. The bingo is the one that brings in the most amount of money I’m a member of the Zonta club of Brampton/Caledon. Which is a professional organization providing service and advocacy to women throughout the world This makes it a little easier for us to carry out our work. The monies that were getting out of it is about $40,000 a year to put back back to the community and to be honest, it’s a lot of fun collectively, we put I’m guessing about $200,000 back into the community. The sole focus is on education Celebrating the culture and the diversity of Brampton. We are doing a lot of community services in around Brampton. Delta Bingo helps in many ways. It is good for charities like us. Delta Bingo, all of the money we generate from there It stays in Brampton, inside the community of Brampton. The funds we collect help children who Otherwise wouldn’t have the means to pay for their soccer registration. My father really was passionate about donating back to the community because the community helped us out when we needed it. To see these young women and their future ahead of them and The world is open to them. A lot of them want to be doctors or or teachers – They’re an inspiration, and that’s what keeps us going too. It does make you feel good to do something in your community To give back. Thank you to all the charities that have supported the community and a big thank you to the hall operators as well too for Having a hall where charities can come and fundraise and make the community a better and more affordable place for its residents.
