Social Work and Rehabilitation Support NESS provides practical and emotional support to help people who are blind, deaf or hearing impaired. Our social workers meet you to provide one-to-one, personalised advice, information and practical support. We can provide advice about benefits you may be entitled to, and help you to identify and organise any other support you may need. Our rehabilitation workers can help blind and deafblind people with mobility and everyday living skills enabling you to be as independent as possible. Our rehabilitation workers and social workers provide information and advice about a wide range of aids and equipment which can make everyday life just a little bit easier. How long will I have to wait? A NESS worker will see you within two weeks of us receiving the referral and your assessment will be completed within 28 days. We have drop-in sessions when a social worker is always available in Aberdeen, Dundee and Elgin see dates and times on this page.
