[Bruna] Welcome to 9 to Alive and this is 60 seconds with a… [Sarauniya] Project Coordinator! [Bruna] Let’s go. [Bruna] What’s your name and who do you work for? [Sarauniya] My name is Sarauniya and I work for Brook which is an international animal welfare
organisation. [Bruna] And why do you do it? [Sarauniya] I get to apply my project management skills to help people and animals. [Bruna] And what does your job entail? [Sarauniya] I work with our
colleagues overseas to develop international standards that helps to
improve the welfare of working animals. [Bruna] And something that you’re most proud of? [Sarauniya] I love the work our organisation is doing with governments; for example in our West
Africa branch we’ve worked with the Burkina Faso to develop their veterinary
curriculum, and this means that horses and donkeys are now included. [Bruna] That’s so great to hear, Sarauniya! What is the most frequent emotion you feel at work?
[Sarauniya] Excitement. [Bruna] Wow. And why should people work in charities? [Sarauniya] Because it’s a great way to apply your skills to help make the world a better place. [Bruna] Thank you, Sarauniya that’s so great! And you, subscribe to our channel so you can
see more in our 60 second series, ciao!
