Doug Wachob, Associate Executive Director of Teton Science Schools: Doug directs the Teton Research Institute at TSS. He was recently the Director of Conservation for the Alaska Chapter of The Nature Conservancy. His academic background is in wildlife ecology with an emphasis on the ecology of human dominated landscapes. He received his B.S. from the University of Minnesota and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Wyoming in Zoology and Physiology. He was an award winning instructor at the University of Wyoming. Doug’s career has focused on conservation and educating people about the natural world because of his passion for seeing people learn about science, education, wild landscapes, and wildlife. He is an avid outdoors person with strong interests in outdoor recreation including cross-country skiing, backpacking, hiking, hunting, and wilderness.
