Bob McLaurin, Jackson Town Manager. Bob McLaurin has been managing mountain ski towns since about 1990. He helped run the town of Vail from 1994 until 2003. While there, he helped create Vail’s affordable housing department, which helped create employee homes at Vail Commons, North Trail Townhomes and Middle Creek. He was also credited with bringing roundabouts to Vail in 1997, before the European-style traffic circles were commonly used in the area.
McLaurin has been Jackson’s Town Manager since 2003. During his tenure, he has helped decrease the town’s energy consumption while maintaining its fiscal health. In 2013, he was named Citizen of the Year by the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce.
